چکیده

Water treatment using nano-materials can have a significant impact due to its surface properties. Coagulation techniques were studied by 3 mL/L of 0.5% different coagulants (polyacrylamide, poly aluminum chloride (PAC), ferric chloride, sulfate, and nanocellulose). Results indicated that the turbidity removal efficiency 91.6%, 93.04%, 95.2%, 95.4%, 99.4%, respectively. Treatment water samples collected from Ismailia Canal, Damietta branch Nile Delta, wastewater plant located in Cairo (Egypt) nanocellulose fibers was studied. For Canal sample, turbidity, chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological (BOD), phosphorous 96%, 83.3%, 100%, COD, BOD, 87.5%, 81.3%, 88.9%, 99.1%, 86.4%, 91.96%, 92.86%, 91.74%, Nanocellulose-nano zero-valent iron composite (NC-nZVI) investigated for at operating conditions. showed efficiencies 91 100% initial phosphate concentrations 10 1 mg PO43– P/L, Different isothermal analyses performed monolayer multilayer adsorption processes.

Processes of Removing Zinc from Water using Zero-Valent Iron

Zero-valent iron has received considerable attention for its potential application in the removal of heavy metals from water. This paper considers the possibility of removal of zinc ions from water by causing precipitates to form on the surface of iron. The chemical states and the atomic concentrations of solids which have formed on the surface of zero-valent iron as well as the type of the dep...

Soil Remediation Using Nano Zero-valent Iron Synthesized by an Ultrasonic Method

A new method for the synthesis of nano zero-valent iron (nZVI) was developed in the present study. Ultrasonic waves, as a novel method, were used to synthesize the nanoparticles. The morphology and surface compositions of the particles were characterized by using FESEM, XRD, BET, and particle size analyzer. The synthesized nanoparticles were then utilized as a Fenton-like catalyst to degrade of...

Filamentous sludge bulking control by nano zero-valent iron in activated sludge treatment systems.

Sludge bulking causes loss of biomass in the effluent and deterioration of effluent water quality. This study explored the use of nano zero-valent iron (NZVI with an average particle size of 55 ± 11 nm) for sludge bulking control. In two Modified Ludzack-Ettinger (MLE) activated sludge treatment systems, a single dose of NZVI at the final concentration of 100 mg Fe per L in the mixed liquor red...
